Soft. Delicious. Fresh Out Of The Oven Baked Goods...

I’ve only recently started shopping at Bittersweet Bake Shoppe, but I look forward to every visit. Whether it’s the cozy atmosphere of the shop or the friendliness of the employees, I feel welcomed when I stop by. Plus there is always something new in the display cases to try out.

I ordered a Chicken Pot Pie for Thanksgiving. The crust was thick in the right places, the chicken was still moist and the aroma filled the kitchen during the reheat in the oven. I used to love pot pies as a child and it had been 28 years since I last had a chicken pot pie. I won’t be waiting so long to have my next one.

I usually visit Bittersweet twice a week and I know what I get is gonna be delicious!! I’ve tried many of Lynn’s creations and they’ve always been fantastic!!

My wife loved her Pistachio birthday cake! I looked all around the area and you were the only one that would make one. She was very pleased and we will be back next year! The drive was worth it!

Lynne Donnelly is the best! She is amazingly talented, everything that comes out of her kitchen is always so wonderful! I never go anywhere else!

My son’s first birthday cake was amazing! It was everything and more, very happy with the end results and the customer service!

Always get the most tasty treats. We are an especially big fan of the fudge frosted chocolate cupcakes. Also, we recently purchased a gorgeous birthday Cale for my son’s birthday and we were so pleased with appearance and flavor. Also, the owner is so sweet and personable. I feel lucky to be so close to such a neighborhood gem.

The most amazing bakery I’ve ever been too! I’ve worked in the food industry for 5 years and I honestly don’t think I could have given better customer service. Every cake on display is mind blowing! Very well priced as well! Your missing out if you don’t come here!

Lynne is a great person to work with. I gave her a picture of how I wanted my 4 tier wedding cake to look and she did exactly that except better! All of her baked goods are extraordinary, I try really hard to stay away because every time I go there I leave with a bagful of goodies, you know what they say “A moment on the lips is a lifetime on the hips.”

Also she made the truffles for my favors at the wedding, everyone asked where they were from because they were amazing. I hope Lynne that you gained some new customers from my special day. And of course I will be using your bake shoppe again, as I always go there for any cake or baked good I need!

We picked this bake shoppe for our son’s 1st birthday cake. Two reasons for choosing this place: 1) Location-wise it was close to birthday event 2) The yelp reviews looked very good.

We went with a colorful 2-tier cake with multiple layers of strawberry, almond and raspberry. The cake came out really good. I really liked the look of it; so bright and colorful. Exactly the way we wanted. The taste was also very good. The price is little bit on higher side; but then you get what you pay for. Really happy with the cake!

Their desserts are not only absolutely stunning, they also taste amazing! I have had them make all of the birthday cakes for my children over the past two years and there’s no place else I’d rather go! I highly recommend Bittersweet Bake Shoppe!!!

Attached is the most recent cake they made for my son who is a Steelers’ fan. Vanilla cake with the most delicious fudge frosting that I’ve ever had!

I asked Lynn to make a special cake for my husbands 50th. We decided to theme it based around his other love – his Harley Davidson Motorbike. I sent a picture of the bike and the cake arrived with an excellent edible bike on top of Harley Davidson logo colored icing. The cake itself – a vanilla layer and a chocolate layer joined with raspberry cream frosting was delicious. Everyone, especially my husband, loved it. I am happy to recommend the Bittersweet Bake Shoppe!

First off let say that this bake shop is a diamond in the rough. It’s a small shop off the side of the road in a small shopping center. I must have driven past it hundreds of times and never even gave it a second thought until my wedding planning came about. Now I stop in regurlarly just to say hi to Lynn, the owner, or Sarah, the assistant baker. While I’m there I often buy something for my now wife, my daughter, and myself. Our tastes vary greatly, and we often share what we have to sample the different things we that are made at this unique shop. She makes everything from sweets, which are mostly what is made there, to the savory ham and provolone croissants.

I can honestly say that I have never had anything from this bake shop that was not absolutely esquisite. Her prices are exceptionally reasonable while never sacrificing any level of quality.

She helped us every single step of the way over the two year process of planning this wedding. She made suggestions without ever being pushy about selling us more than we wanted or needed. She even provided delivery and set up at a very reasonable cost. We wanted cupcakes for our wedding and one small cake for the cutting ceremony. She happily obliged without a second thought the decorations were spectacular as well as the presentation. The four flavors we wanted were chocolate, vanilla, sea salt caramel, and raspberry with lemon filling. All four flavors were precisely what we wanted, and the small cake for the cutting ceremony was delicious as well.

She treated us like friends, and even after the wedding I will regularly go there for a treat or two or three. Any other functions we have such as birthday parties, vow renewals, anniversaries, and such I will definitely go to this bake shop without a second thought. Even if you were to go elsewhere for the your event I would at least suggest going in just to try what they have. I guarantee that you will change your mind and have them cater for you cake.

Bittersweet Bake Shoppe is a treasure! It’s well worth the additional 20 minute “detour” whenever we’re visiting my parents in Nashua. Lynne is a kind, talented baker who takes time to visit with her patrons.

She’s incredibly accommodating too, I place my order the day prior and it’s always waiting for me. Everything I’ve tried is outstanding and of the best quality. The ham and Swiss croissant is so delicate and buttery – highly recommended. Her chocolate chip cookies are perfect; crisp edges and chewy middle. While we enjoy everything we’ve tried, it’s Lynne’s pies that have us hooked!

Her chicken pot pie is packed with chicken, vegetables, and rich flavor. We love her chocolate French silk pie and her key lime pie. The crust is light and flaky. The decadent fillings and vibrant flavors are always balanced with her light, homemade whipped cream. It’s the winning combination!
